Coffee farming runs in the family for Alex Ponce. His father owned a farm, and growing up, Alex learned quite a bit from him as he helped around the land. However, he took a break at 19 to work in a clothing factory in the industrial district for nearly a decade. When his father offered to sell him some land in 2013, Alex had saved up enough money to purchase the property and quit working at the factory. Now, many years later, the tables have turned. Alex’s father now helps him on the farm.
