We are thrilled to have Sandra Trochez’s wonderful coffee return to our offering list after a gap year. Unfortunately, we were not fast enough to the cupping table last year, and all of Sandra’s coffees were purchased before we had the chance to taste them. Of course, it’s no surprise that coffees of this caliber go to the first to taste them. Fortunately, we have learned our lesson and are among the few who were able to buy this year’s harvest.

This washed processed Catuai variety from Sandra’s Don Amado farm is our second offering from San Vicente exporters this year. As with Osmin Reyes’ Pacas, this is a long-standing offering for us at Spyhouse, and we are always grateful to have such a perfectly crisp and clean coffee from Santa Barbara to enjoy on these cold Minnesota mornings. This year, we are tasting a fantastic balance of brown-sugary sweetness with hints of cooked fruit and a delicious sweet tea finish.
