Near Totutla and Huatusco, Veracruz
Finca Kassandra is owned by the Rivas family near Totutla and Huatusco in Veracruz. The family owns 600 hectares, 320 of which is dedicated to coffee production. Only 8% of this, the equivalent to about 60 acres, is pacamara. Along with award winning coffees, the family is also well known for their macadamia nuts. Interestingly there is a rich, macadamia-like sweetness present in the cup.
Finca Kassandra is a standout pacamara full of sweet peach and offset by herbal wine notes. It is an exceptional example of a perfectly prepared pacamara: clear, vibrant, and complex. It is the perfect coffee to treat yo’ self.
This coffee comes to us from Cafe Imports as part of their ACES program, designed to feature their best offerings each harvest. All coffees in this program must score above 90 points at arrival. This particular coffee was scored 92 points by a panel of judges on Cafe Imports' group trip to Mexico.
