Meet Joshua Velong, Director of Coffee

Christmas came a bit early for us this year! Meet Joshua Velong, our new Director of Coffee.

Joshua comes to Spyhouse with over ten years of experience in the craft coffee world. He truly started cutting his teeth in Philadelphia as a barista and soon after as a manager for Bodhi Coffee. Joshua then took on a new role as production manager and apprentice roaster for Elixir Coffee (also in Philly) a year before relocating to NYC to roast for Stumptown—where he spent seven years as a production roaster in both NYC and Portland.

He has a deep understanding of small and large-scale production roasting, origin, coffee varietals, direct trade practices, and an unwavering desire to connect and educate anyone and everyone on the spellbinding nature of coffee!
